Dear Parents/Carers March 2017

PTA News

The PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) is an organisation which consists of parents and staff to encourage closer links between home and school, as well as its vital role of fundraising, by nature of the fact that you are a parent at our school you are all members.

Our PTA committee consists of Chairperson - Kelly Sims (Ebony’s Mum), Vice-chair - Tawnee Woodford (Mabel’s Mum), Secretary - Alison Ferne (Ella’s Mum), Treasurer - Suzanna Mutter (Ria’s Mum) . Alongside these essential roles is a strong team of mums - Lisa Dukes (Samuel’s Mum), Kym Furnell (Ellis’s Mum), Becky Street (Kieran’s Mum) and Rebecca Keeping (Cerys-Ann’s Mum).

You don’t have to be a Mum to join! All parents are welcome to attend meetings and to join the committee. If you don’t feel you have the time to commit fully you could be one of our volunteers. We are in need of parents who would be willing to help out during busy fundraising events, or to offer their time preparing/setting up an event. Any time offered will be much appreciated! Please make yourself known to one of us if you feel this is something you would like to do, and you will be added to our volunteers list.

The money raised by our fundraising events goes towards extras which are not already provided by school funds. The recent Cake Sale, which raised just over £155.23, will go towards our new library in the former Children’s Centre. Thank you to all of you who helped make cakes, buy cakes and eat cakes!

Our next event is our Easter Fundraiser. From Monday 27 March we will be in the front playground near the KS1 ‘meet and greet' at the start and the end of the day. Please come along, introduce yourself and have a go at the activities. We look forward to meeting you!

Kind regards

Alison
