New Entrants 2025

New Entrants 2025

We are delighted that you are considering Pennington Infants for your child and we look forward to welcoming you to our school.

This page is for all our new Year R entrants and it will be updated throughout the year as the admission and transition process progresses.

We hope this page will offer you initial guidance. We are all here to help you and your child become settled into school life.

School Tours

We would be delighted to show you around our school and we are happy to offer individual tours with our head teacher, Mrs Richards.  If you would like to come and meet with us, please contact the school office on 01590 672910 or email us at admin@pennington-inf.hants.sch.uk to arrange your visit.

Applying for your child's place

All applications go through Hampshire Admissions.  The initial deadline for September 2025 school applications has now passed (January 15th 2025).  However you are still able to apply as a 'late applicant'.

Accepting your place

If your application was made on time, your child should now have been offered a place at a school from Hampshire admissions.

In order to accept your offer of a place at Pennington Infants, you will need to provide the school with some important information.  Please bring these to the school office once the offer has been made, so we can begin the process of enrolling your child into Pennington Infants within the timeframe.  The school office is open 9:00am - 3:30pm each weekday.

You will need to bring:

- confirmation of your child's date of birth (normally the short birth certificate or passport)

- 2 pieces of evidence of the address used on the application (we ask for the child's permanent address as of 15th January 2025). This could be a bank statement, council tax bill, driving licence or utility bill.

We kindly ask that you provide the school with this evidence by Friday 16th May 2025.

Important Diary Dates

Communication is key to a good home/school partnership and we try to ensure that important information is accessible to all. We send regular  reminders about key events via email, text messages and on the school Facebook page. You can also sync the school calendar on this website to your phone so that you automatically receive any event updates.

Uniform

It is never too early to start collecting uniform and we have a selection of preloved items available in our school office. Why not have a browse when you bring in your paperwork.  Our uniform consists of a jumper or cardigan with a polo shirt. Children are asked to wear grey skirts or trousers and black shoes. Items do not require a school logo but we recommend you purchase one for school events and photos.

Further information can be found on our school uniform page.
